NEW YEAR'S PRESENTS IN PALILULA

On the occasion of the Orthodox New Year, Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula-Nis, shared the "New Year's gifts" to children from socially disadvantaged families in the municipality of Palilula. The packages are provided with the support of the Center for Social Work "Sveti Sava" in Nis, and donors. Zoran Jovic, director of the Center for Social Work in Niš, who attended the ceremony, said that from the total number of persons who have been registered with the requirements of the Centre, more than 67 percent of citizens are from the territory of Palilula. "The priority in the work of municipal leadership of Palilula, in the words of President Boban Džunić, is taking care of socially vulnerable population groups, especially people with disabilities, children, elderly and sick people, displaced persons. According to statistical data in the field of social needs, our municipality is among the poorest in Serbia. But, thanks to good management, project activities, which are in the opinion of the competent ministries in the Serbian best in the region, we are able to invest and create a better environment for our citizens- says the president of the Municipality of Palilula Nis.
